Kekkaishi Manga
Currently reading back through the Kekkaishi manga from the start and had forgotten how awesome Gen was… I think one of the things which has drawn me to Kekkaishi though is the way Yellow Tanabe isn’t afraid to kill a character. Makes a change to some of the more mainstream series where no one ever dies.
The humour is right up my street too, Yoshimori is a baking genius. Plus, their kekkai-justu is the kind of manga power which is super versatile so can be used in more than way variation.
Shame the anime didn’t continue…

Hands Like Houses - Ground Dweller
This seriously has to be the album of the year so far right… as in hands down, no one comes close!? It is quite simply a stand out album… and showcases all their talent and potential!! Absolutely stunning!! Probably one the most complete albums I have had the pleasure to listen to for a while and only goes to show that Rise Records can still find some gems!!
Gets me pumped for the Acoustic EP they’re due to release on YouTube called “Snow Sessions”… Their acoustic take on songs takes them in a whole new direction and sound stunning!!
Think I may have found another all time favourite album to add to the list… and a favourite band to boot… Buzzing!!

Bleach Chapter 461 - “Come Around Our Town”
At long last Bleach got back en route!! The whole feel seems to have shifted too, and its absolutely awesome. For far too long I’ve been disappointed with the direction of the current arc but recent developments have recharged everything.
The arrival of shinigami has been long overdue and it did seem like a fair bit of fan service at the reveal last week but… I don’t even care. Was a rather striking moment in the series, as was seeing Urahara back in Soul Society this week, I wonder what capacity he’s been allowed to return in… Although it has been showed that he is still holed up in Karakura Town. Would I also be looking too much into things if I was to believe Shinji is in Soul Society as he also departed reiatsu into the sword!? Or is this just wishful thinking that he’s returned to Gotei 13?!
The big climax of this arc so far has to be the reveal that Ginjou is in fact the substitute shinigami mentioned at the start of this arc, and although it wasn’t the most shocking thing I’ve ever heard it was very awesome reveal.
Looking forward to next week and seeing what Ginjou has up his sleeve and what Tsukishima is doing while all the attention is on Ginjou…
Just 18 days til me and my Jessie will be doing this at Siam Park in Tenerfie!!
I wonder if you’re allowed to go head first…!?

Naruto Chapter 550 - “Kotoamatsumaki”
What I understood from this chapter was that Itachi likes to stash other peoples eyes inside people he has faith in… I dunno, all seemed rather weird with the sole aim of being able to bring Itachi back from the dead.
I’m not really a fan of Nagato to be honest but I think its because the rinnegan hasn’t been shown to its fullest ability yet. It seemed like quite the anticlimax after it got introduced… Hoping that Madara can muster something more from it with the addition of his sharingan…
An extra week to wait now though thanks to the holidays…

Bleach Chapter 459 - “Death & Strawberry 2”
Finally Ichigo regains his shinigami, but in doing so makes the past arc all rather… obsolete. The way it all appeared to happen is very similar to how Ichigo originally acquired shinigami powers from Rukia, being pierced by her blade in the chest in a moment of despair. Although it appeared that Ichigo had all his fullbring sucked out of him he does seem to have retained some under armour of sorts, which is a nice touch… I’m just praying his mask is still around…
As for the coming weeks… who knows what will happen next!? Obvious expectation for me would be for Ginjo and Tsukishima to flee, I can’t see them coming out too well in a fight with Ichigo, Urahara, Rukia and Isshin. The only other possibility would be for everyone under Tsukishima’s fullbring to come to their defence if they’re attacked…
It’s gonna be sometime before we find out though seems as its holiday season in Japan so no Jump until next week…
